Hello to anyone still there. I know I’ve been pretty AWOL on this blog recently and the main reasons are the exams, followed by a holiday to Turkey and then the anxiety leading up to results day. But now that all of that is over with I figured I should jump back on the wagon known as blogging.

Today was the dreaded results day and I suppose I’ve already spoilt it by mentioning that I got in for the title of this post. I was really, and I mean really worried about my results, not to mention certain that I wouldn’t get the 3 As that would be my golden ticket to finally secure that place. The night before I was reading loads of articles trying to understand how clearing works and jotting down lots of phone numbers that I thought might come in handy if the worst was to happen. Thankfully it didn’t come to that though…

I actually checked UCAS Track as soon as I woke up, before I went to collect my results. And there it was…confirmed offer. I had to read it a few times just to make sure. My heart was beating so fast but just knowing that I had secured my place knocked my nerves down a whole notch. I then went to collect my results, more calm and composed.

Right now, I just can’t believe it’s over. I’ve finally finished A Levels and come out of the other side. I’ve finally come to the end of this long arduous journey of applying to Medical school with the help of so many people along the way, and now it’s time to start a new journey there. It seems completely surreal.

After finishing my exams I expected to feel free and relived, but somehow the impending doom of results day made that quite impossible. Now I’ve tasted real freedom. It feels as though I’ve finished a chapter of my life fully and truly. It’s all sealed off and now I can work on beginning the next chapter at Manchester Medical School. It feels good to say the least. I feel so happy, but more than anything so grateful for everything!

  3. Congratulations! Tough road ahead but you can do it undoubtedly! Just always always keep in mind this joy you have right now and why you started out this journey in the first place and you’ll do fine during some tough times. 🙂❤

  15. Hey I was exploring blogs about medical topics and I cane across this blog, congratulations by the way. I’m a newly licensed physician from the Phil. It is still a long way to go but the journey will be fun. 😉
