Here we are – the first official “Blogging For Beginners” advice post has made it out there. I did take my sweet time to get this put up because, as I’ll share with you all, a lot of blogging is about prioritising and it happened to be that many other posts with a more imminent…

Blogging For Beginners: Welcome to the Series

As many of you probably know, it’s been over 5 years since I first launched this blog, which to me seems crazy, it doesn’t feel like it has been so long! I often get questions about blogging, how to start, how to get specific features etc and now that we’re in lockdown I thought it’d…

Why Medicine? - in 10 words
Eid Mubarak! šŸŒ™ hope everyone has had a lovely day! ✨
Today’s the 7th day of Ramadan - hope the month is going well for everyone so far šŸŒ™
Have you ever broken a bone? 🦓
#ad I know I talk about @Quizlet_UK quite a lot, but that’s because I use it a lot! Every week I put all the learning points from our TCD (Themed Case Discussion) cases into a question and answer format on to Quizlet and by the end of the week I have a complete study set on whatever the week’s cases were. ā˜ŗļø
Ophthalmology, ENT, Neurology all done āœ… Now on to the next block!
These FriXion Pastel Highlighters from @pilotpenuk are really pretty and functional 🄰 The entire FriXion range of pens are erasable, so handy if you’re worried about putting pen to paper on something you don’t want to make mistakes on. I’m usually an ā€˜arrows everywhere’ type of girl when it comes to planning on paper, but I can see these pens being really useful for planning to easily switch around plans and erase cancelled events without making a mess.
We’ve had 2 weeks of neurology and now we’re on to 2 weeks of ā€œspecial sensesā€ which is Ophthalmology and ENT. I did enjoy the neurology content quite a bit, it’s a very problem-solving sort of speciality which I feel like I do enjoy! Can’t really say I enjoy neuroanatomy though, with all the different tracts and their pathways. Brings back haunting memories from second year. Can’t believe there was a point in time when I actually knew all that! šŸ˜‚
I ordered some new fabric for embroidery and have added a tonne of new things I want to try to my Pinterest board. Before last week I hadn’t done it in ages, I was actually contemplating throwing out all my supplies not too long ago, glad I didn’t do that now! I definitely go through phases of enjoying things and when I’m enjoying doing something, I have a tendency hyperfixate on it (so expect to see a lot more embroidery) šŸ˜‚
