A reading week is a week off you get every 3 weeks. In Manchester we call it a “consolidation week” but it’s essentially the same thing. You’re off timetable and that week you don’t have a PBL case to do or lectures to go to. It’s there for you to catch up on work and is really useful!

Occasionally you might have a half-day hospital/GP placement during the week, or a meeting with your tutor…but other than that the week if for you to use as you please.

You only get it in first and second year…so I’ve been sorely missing my consolidation weeks this year!
