#AskAMedStudent: How do you best prepare for year 3?

#AskAMedStudent: Hi! I really want to go to Manchester medical school, and I know they are keen on hands on experience. I have done work experience in a primary school + nursery, and spent a week in the womens centre of my local hospital, mainly on the gynaecology ward. I feel I learnt so much from this experience, but I have been struggling for two years now to get volunteering in my area, and I’m worried this won’t be enough. How can I demonstrate what I’ve learnt about being a doctor if I don’t fit the criteria of hands on care?

#AskAMedStudent: I am thinking about applying to Medicine at Manchester. I’ve got a quick question, would they ever accept someone with a grade lower than the standard AAA? For example if you have AAB predicted?
