Both Biology AND Chemistry aren’t actually a must for every medical school, some require one or the other. Though it is worthwhile doing both of them as that way you can keep your options open and fit the requirements for all medical schools.
The other subject doesn’t matter at all. Do something you enjoy and something you know you’ll be able to get the grade in. I did Maths.
If I had to now look back and suggest a subject which would help the most based on the Medicine course content I’d say Psychology as you cover a lot of Behavioural and Social Sciences during medical school which would overlap with Psychology. But whatever subject you choose will not affect your chances of getting in at all, if I went back I’d choose Maths again simply because I enjoyed it.
